Welcome to the Department of Architecture (DoA) at Aror University, Sukkur. The Department was initiated in 2022 as per the university’s mandate to flourish the knowledge of the design and construction of sustainable buildings and the built environment. While we are young, we take pride in our history and focus firmly on the future. We are located in the former capital of Sindh (Aror), which was once a city with culture, civilization, and civic facilities.

We recognize the evolving local and global socio-economic landscape. We are adapting to ensure our students become not only the industry’s driving force but also tomorrow’s innovators, problem-solvers, entrepreneurs, and leaders. To this end, we are revitalizing our programs by bringing together brilliant faculty with diverse expertise to tackle interdisciplinary challenges and updating our courses with digital knowledge and skills. Moreover, we emphasise design-based solutions to tackle challenges such as climate change, disasters, housing, urban sprawl, etc. We aim to serve the community by creating a positive impact through sustainable and energy-efficient buildings while considering the local climate, needs, materials and cultural aspects.
