Aqsa Ahad is a multi-disciplinary visual artist, born and raised in Sukkur, Pakistan. She earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Sindh Jamshoro, laying the foundation for her artistic journey. Alongside her formal education, she pursued a diploma in Miniature Painting from Shaheed Allah Bux Soomro University of Art, Design and Heritage Jamshoro. Her passion for art led her to further refine her skills through studies in Performing Arts at the Sindh Institute of Music and Performing Arts (SIMPA).

Aqsa’s artistic expression spans various mediums, including painting, drawing, collage, and mixed media. Her works reflect her deep engagement with social and political themes, which she intricately weaves into her visual narratives. Her creativity and dedication have been showcased in several prominent exhibitions. Notable exhibitions include the “District-level Inter-University Art Competition” by Pakistan Peace Collective (2019), the “International Day Of The Girl Child” by Indus Resource Centre (2019), the “Degree Show” at Benazir Art Gallery, Jamshoro (2022), and the “Annual 18th Young Artist Exhibition” at Alhamra Art Gallery, Lahore (2022). She also participated in the exhibition “The Story Goes On” (2022) at Alhamra Art Gallery.

In addition to her work as a visual artist, Aqsa demonstrated her versatility by performing as a lead artist in the NAPA Performing Arts Festival. Her involvement in the performing arts highlights her ability to blend different artistic disciplines, enriching her creative repertoire.

Currently residing in Sukkur, Aqsa continues to develop her artistic practice, using her work as a platform to explore and communicate critical social and political issues. Through her unique perspective and multifaceted skills, she remains a rising figure in the contemporary art scene.
