Mr. Shamshad Ali Mahar is currently working as a Lecturer of Zoology in the Faculty of Heritage, Aror University of Art, Architecture, Design, and Heritage, Sindh. He has done his M.Phil in Zoology with a specialization in Entomology from the Department of Zoology, University of Sindh, Jamshoro. He also did his BS (Hons.) in Zoology with a specialization in Vertebrate Biology. His areas of interest in research are Wildlife and Conservation, Ecology, Molecular Biology and Genetics. His research projects include ‘Application of Metarhizium acridum against Desert Locust (Schistocerca gregaria) in Thar Desert Sindh and ‘The Ecological Status of Indus River Dolphin (Platanista gangetica minor) from Sukkur Barrage to Guddu Barrage, Sindh, Pakistan’.

He has been indulged in teaching since 2017. He has worked as a Lecturer of Zoology in various reputed institutions in Hyderabad, Umerkot, and Badin. He has also done a one-year internship in the Molecular Biology & Genetics Department, Medical Research Centre, at one of Pakistan’s most recognized Universities in the medical field, Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences (LUMHS), Jamshoro. He has been an active participant and an enthusiastic member of the local organizing committee of International Zoological Conferences, held at the University of Sindh (2016) and in the University of Punjab (2022).
