December 17, 2024โ Aror University of Art, Architecture, Design & Heritage, Sukkur hosted a successful Google Career Certificates Distribution Ceremony. The event was honored by the presence of Chief Guest Mr. Noor Ahmed Samoo, Secretary, Information Science & Technology Department, Government of Sindh and Mr Umar Farooq, CEO, Tech Valley as guest of honour.
In his welcome address, Prof. Dr Zahid Hussain Khand, Vice Chancellor of Aror University, expressed immense pride in the university’s continued progress in fields such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Multimedia and Gaming (MMG) and skill-based learning. He emphasized the growing importance of IT, pointing out that the worldโs top companies by market capitalization are technology firms. “The future is IT,” he stated, urging students to develop the necessary skills to thrive in an increasingly digital world. Dr. Khand also thanked Mr. Samoo and the Government of Sindh for their steadfast support in helping Aror University engaging in initiatives that foster studentsโ skill development and career growth.
Mr Umar Farooq, CEO of Tech Valley Pakistan, also addressed the event, reaffirming his commitment to support Aror University. He pledged to provide additional scholarships and enhance industry- academia collaboration, with plans to visit the university soon to explore further opportunities for student engagement and growth.
In his speech, Mr. Noor Ahmed Samoo, the Chief Guest, commended the leadership and faculty of Aror University for their proactive approach to enhance student skills through Google career scholarships certifications. Mr Samo acknowledged the universityโs dedication to enabling students to develop critical IT skills, positioning them for success in the digital economy.
Dr Shazeb Malik, member (I.T) also attended the meeting and addressed the students.
The ceremony culminated in the distribution of Google Career Certificates to students who successfully completed their courses. These certificates recognized the students’ dedication and achievements, equipping them with essential skills for the rapidly evolving job market.
The event concluded with a campus tour including the universityโs cutting-edge facilities, including the OGDCL Game Design Lab and the state-of-the-art computer labs. These advanced learning spaces provide students with the opportunity to gain hands-on experience and enhance their technological expertise.
