Engr. Abu Zar is an academic and civil engineer with a focus on digital construction and sustainable engineering practices. He is currently serving as a Lecturer in the Department of Civil Engineering at Aror University of Art, Architecture, Design & Heritage, Sukkur. He holds a Master’s degree in Construction Information Technology Engineering from the Budapest University of Technology and Economics, Hungary, and a Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering from Mehran University of Engineering and Technology, Pakistan.

During his academic period, Engr. Abu Zar worked on projects involving Building Information Modeling (BIM), energy simulations, and parametric modeling. His experience includes BIM-based refurbishment of university buildings for energy efficiency, energy assessment using IoT devices, and architectural as well as dynamic modeling of complex structures. He also participated in international hackathons and Erasmus+ training programs, contributing to innovative solutions in construction, sustainability, and digital transformation of the AEC industry.

His areas of interest include Building Information Modeling (BIM), energy-efficient buildings, sustainable materials, and sustainable construction. He is passionate about integrating advanced digital tools into civil engineering education and practice promoting innovation and sustainability.
