Her professional journey spans leading roles in the fashion industry, including Creative Head at Maroon by Iqra Chaudhry and Fashion Designer at Faixafaixal by ITTEHAD, where she directed design development, trend forecasting, and production planning for multiple collections. She has also served as an Internal Quality Auditor at Sapphire Textile Ltd. and Maqsood Textile Mills, gaining deep expertise in quality management systems and compliance audits.

Alongside her role at Aror University, she has also contributed to teaching at other leading institutions. As an academic leader, Ms. Asghar oversees curriculum development, faculty coordination, and student thesis supervision, ensuring alignment with global fashion standards. She is adept at integrating digital tools such as CLO 3D, CAD/CAM, and Adobe Creative Suite into teaching, while actively promoting sustainable fashion practices and industry-academia collaborations.

Her scholarly contributions include the publication Configurational Insights into Achieving Future Sustainability through Green Human Resource Management Practices (2024) and presentations at national conferences and seminars. She has received multiple accolades, including the Best Designer Award at Fashion Fista (2017) and Best Thesis Collection Winner (2017).

In 2025, Ms. Asghar further strengthened her international exposure by attending the British Council’s “Moving the Needle: Sustainable Fashion and Textile Symposium” in Lahore, a global platform bringing together designers, artisans, researchers, and policymakers from Pakistan, the UK, and South Asia to advance dialogue on sustainability, heritage, and innovation in the fashion and textile sector.

She also co-led the project “Resilient Threads of Manchar Lake: A Collaborative Craft Installation for Women’s Empowerment and Cultural Revival”, which spotlighted the Mohanna women artisans of Sindh. The project conceptually wove together traditional crafts (ralli quilting, crochet, and embroidery), ecological storytelling, and participatory design to create a site-specific installation on Manchar Lake. Through community-led co-creation workshops, the initiative empowered women artisans, revived endangered crafts, and addressed ecological challenges while celebrating cultural resilience.

Passionate about bridging the gap between academia and industry, Ms. Asghar continues to mentor emerging designers, initiate collaborative projects with fashion brands, and foster innovation-driven, sustainable design education in Pakistan.
