Engr. Waheed Ali Khokhar is serving as a Lecturer in the Department of Environmental Sciences, Aror University of Art, Architecture, Design and Heritage, Sindh. He holds a degree of Master of Science in Environmental Engineering from the U.S.–Pakistan Center for Advanced Studies in Water (USPCAS-W), Mehran University of Engineering and Technology (MUET), Jamshoro, and a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Quaid-e-Awam University of Engineering, Science, and Technology (QUEST), Nawabshah. He served as a Lecturer at the Institute of Environmental Engineering and Management (IEEM), MUET, Jamshoro, contributing over two years of teaching, research, and academic administration. During this period, he supervised undergraduate and graduate research projects, managed departmental labs, and held key administrative responsibilities.
He also organized and conducted two CPD workshops at IEEM in collaboration with ORIC, MUET and PEC on Thesis Writing and Formatting, aimed at enhancing students’ academic and research writing skills. He also played an active role in organizing national and international conferences, aimed at advancing research and collaboration in the field of environmental sciences. In addition, he has served as a Resource Person for the course “Water Resources Management and Policy (20 CH)” under the Active Climate Action Project (Erasmus+, European Union), contributing to international-level academic capacity building in climate change and sustainability.
His research interests include wastewater treatment technologies, solid and hazardous waste management, waste utilization, climate change, electrocoagulation, adsorption processes, and the application of GIS and remote sensing in environmental systems. He has published research in several reputable international journals from Springer and ScienceDirect, such as:
