Shoukat Ali Mangi

Shaukat Ali Mangi, born on March 8, 1972, in Khairpur Mirs, Sindh, is a sculptor and art expert based in Khairpur. With over twenty-eight years of professional experience in educational development and studio practice, he is dedicated to fostering creativity and critical thinking in his students. Shaukat holds a M.Phil. in fine arts from Islamia University Bahawalpur, as well as a Master’s in Fine Art from the University of Sindh, Jamshoro, where he graduated with First Class, First Position in 1998. He also earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Sindh, Jamshoro.
Currently, he serves as a lecturer in the Department of Visual Arts at Aror University of Art, Architecture, Design, and Heritage in Sukkur. From 2016 to 2021, he taught Art, Craft, and Calligraphy at the Department of Teacher Education (Evening Shift) at Shah Abdul Latif University, Khairpur. Prior to that, he worked as a Drawing Teacher in the Sindh Education Department from 2013 to 2016.
Shaukat’s artistic practices encompass various mediums, including drawing, sculpture, stage decoration, park decoration, and monumental square art. He has participated in several notable exhibitions, including the 6th Islamic Jambori exhibition in Islamabad in 1992, an exhibition at the Sindh Museum in Hyderabad in 1999, and the Ladybird School System exhibition in Karachi in 2002. His work has also been featured in the annual art exhibitions organized by the Education Department of Pakistan Steel Mills from 2009 to 2012. Many of his sculptures are displayed across Sindh, including in Karachi, Sanghar, Khairpur, Sukkur, and Kandhkot. Currently, his artwork, along with that of his students, is being showcased at Aror University.
