Sukkur, May 29, 2025 โ€“Aror University of Art, Architecture, Design and Heritage, Sukkur hosted a memorable Dinner & Qawali Night in honour of distinguished delegates from Northumbria University, Newcastle, UK; National Textile University, Faisalabad; and University of Kamalia.

The Event marked a pivotal step in strengthening ties between academia and industry. The event provided a vibrant platform to celebrate the success of the collaborative initiative on Banana Fiber Production from Banana Waste, an innovative and sustainable approach aimed at promoting eco-friendly textile practices.

In his address, Prof. Dr Zahid Hussain Khand, Vice-Chancellor of Aror University, highlighted the universityโ€™s commitment to sustainable innovation and skill-based education. He emphasized the importance of the banana fiber project, which serves as a prime example of turning agricultural waste into valuable economic and environmental assets.

Prof. Dr Yasir Nawab, Vice Chancellor of the University of Kamalia, commended Aror Universityโ€™s visionary leadership, commending the focus on market-driven skill development and sustainability.

Dr John Arthur, Consultant from Northumbria University, Newcastle, UK, expressed his heartfelt gratitude for the warm hospitality extended by Aror University and the people of Pakistan. He emphasized the potential for continued collaboration in research and sustainable development.

Mr. Fayaz Hussain Abbasi, Commissioner Sukkur, praised the leadership of Aror University for “bridging fields, fabrics, and sustainable futures” โ€” especially through projects in underrepresented areas like Saleh Pat.
