An awareness seminar on the topic of “Break the Chain; Stand United against Corruption” was organized by National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Sukkur with the collaboration of Aror University of Art, Architecture, Design & Heritage, Sukkur on 16th May 2023. The seminar was attended by faculty members and students of different faculties of Aror University Sukkur. The seminar started with the recitation of the Holy Quran, recited by Mr. Rashid Ali, Lecturer of Archaeology at the Faculty of Heritage, and then worthy Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Eng. Zahid Hussain Khand addressed the audience. The key point of the worthy Vice-Chancellor’s speech was to train youths as responsible citizens of Pakistan. He highlighted the role of youth in curbing corruption. He presented Aror University’s vision of providing quality education and ethical values to the students. In the end, he announced to establish the ethical society at Aror University with the collaboration of NAB Sukkur. Nadeem Ahmed Shaikh, Director, NAB Sukkur was chief guest and Imran Ali Mangrio, Additional Director (Awareness & Prevention) NAB (SUK), Prof. Dr. Engr. Zahid Hussain Khand, Vice Chancellor, Aror University Sukkur, Dr. Pir Suhail Sarhandi, Registrar, Dr. Qasim Sodhar were guest of honor of the seminar. Many students participated in the seminar. Director, NAB (SUK) sensitized the audience regarding the performance of NAB (Sukkur). Mr. Nadeem Ahmed said that NAB is working vigorously to eradicate the menace of corruption in our societies. Another speaker from Aror University Dr. Qasim Sodhar, Head, Faculty of Heritage, and Director QEC, briefly highlighted the history of corruption in Pakistan. He highlighted different types of corruption, such as economic, social, moral, intellectual, and political corruption prevailing in Pakistani society. He time and again emphasized the youth’s role in minimizing corruption in Pakistan. The session was moderated by Mr. Shafique Ahmed Khan, Lecturer of History and Manager of ORIC.
