Sukkur, February 03, 2026 โ Aror University of Art, Architecture, Design & Heritage, Sukkur successfully hosted Day 02 of the 2nd International Conference on โBridging Sindhโs Heritage & Sustainability in Global Perspectiveโ, bringing together national and international scholars, practitioners, and policymakers to explore heritage-driven sustainable futures.
Day 02 commenced with Keynote Address-I by Dr. Mike Tebyetekerwa, who spoke on โSustainable Materials & Technologies for Environment & Community,โ highlighting innovative approaches that integrate material science with environmental and community resilience.
This was followed by Keynote Address-II by Dr. Hong Chang Yu on โFashion Intelligent Design and its Digital Twin Applications,โ offering insights into the intersection of fashion, technology, and digital transformation.
Keynote Address-III was delivered by Ms. Noorjehan Bilgrami on โHeritage that Heals the Future: Insights from Sindhโs Soil and Indus River,โ emphasizing the cultural, ecological, and spiritual dimensions of Sindhโs heritage in shaping sustainable development.
Subsequently, Panel Discussion-II titled โSindhโs Heritage & Cultural Innovation: Generational Perspectives in a Global Contextโ was held. The session was moderated by Mr. Zubair Ahmed, with distinguished panelists Dr. Antonio Daood, Dr. Marco Madella, and Dr. Mike Tebyetekerwa, who shared diverse perspectives on heritage preservation, innovation, and global engagement.
The session continued with remarks by Prof. Dr. Zahid Hussain Khand, Vice Chancellor, Aror University, who reflected on the two-day conference experience and its academic and cultural impact. This was followed by an address from the Guest of Honour, Barrister Arsalan Islam Shaikh, Mayor Sukkur, who appreciated the leadership of Aror University for organizing a meaningful and impactful international conference.
Later, the Conference Secretary presented the conference recommendations, summarizing key outcomes and future directions discussed during the sessions.
The Closing Ceremony was graced by the Chief Guest, Engr. Syed Abdul Qadri Shah, Former Chairman, Pakistan Engineering Council. In his address, he highlighted the significance of organizing such conferences in a region rich with heritage and applauded the efforts of Aror Universityโs leadership and organizing committees for the successful execution of the event.
Finally, Prof. Dr. Zamir Ahmed Abro, Dean Faculty of Design, delivered the closing remarks and vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all speakers, delegates, organizers, and participants. The ceremony concluded with the presentation of shields to the Aror University team in recognition of their outstanding efforts in successfully organizing the two-day international conference.
