The Department of Environmental Sciences commemorated the International Day of Biodiversity (22 May 2025). On this occasion, students from all academic batches actively participated and presented their research and survey-based work focusing on the biodiversity of Pakistan, particularly the Sindh province.

Both students and faculty members emphasized the critical importance of biodiversity and its ecological role in sustaining life on Earth. The presentations highlighted various endangered species native to Sindh and Pakistan, while also proposing actionable plans aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Prof. Dr Zahid Hussain Khand, Vice Chancellor visited the event and commended the efforts of Dr. Altaf Alam, Chairman of the Department, Mr. Fida Hussain Channa (Lecturer and supervisor), and the participating students for their valuable contributions and dedication.
