The 5th Academic Council meeting of Aror University of Art, Architecture, Design and Heritage, Sukkur held today. The meeting was chaired by the Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr Zahid Hussain Khand.
The recommendations of Board of Studies of all sixteen degree programs and Board of faculty were approved by the Academic Council. The launch of Associate degree in Ceramic Design as well as Tourism and Hospitality were also approved. In addition to it Academic Calendar 2026-27, award of medal policy and revised research incentive policy were considered and ratified. The council adopted various Higher Education policies which includes Pakistan Precepts, Standards and Guidelines for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (PSG-2023), HEC National fee Refund Policy (Revised 2024), HEC policy for Students with Disabilities and HEC policy on Drug and Tobacco Abuse (2021).
To promote academic excellence, cultural heritage and research in indigenous knowledge system establishment of “Fakir Qadir Bux Bedil” Chair was recommended to the syndicate. The chair will serve as center of excellence for advanced research, scholarly activities and disseminations of knowledge related to life, works, philosophy and literary contribution of Fakir Qadir Bux Bedil.
