Introduction

The architecture program includes a diversified curriculum that covers heritage, disaster management, urban planning, structural concepts, environmental studies, and building services. It focuses on designing by critical thinking and understanding the historical, regional, traditional and psychological backgrounds of architecture. The basic design and spatial aesthetic concepts help students explore design from different perspectives. It prepares to present design solutions and communicate through technical and digital drawing techniques. It also updates the students on environmental issues, modern use of materials and new technological design methods that aim to provide sustainable building solutions. The awareness of heritage and modern and contemporary theories shall make them capable of doing research on the intervention of urban/local architecture. The curriculum also emphasizes internship and professional knowledge to train them for academia and practice.

Scope

The architecture program shall enable students to provide innovative design solutions by critically analyzing design, urban, regional, and community issues. Their skills and abilities shall make them competent for the architecture profession and its co-related fields, including urban planning, interior design, landscape design, community architecture, and environment design.
