Scope of the Program

The BS program in Climate Change and Sustainable Development at Aror University Sukkur provides interdisciplinary education and practical training in climate science, sustainable development, environmental management, economics, governance, and social dimensions of climate change, supported by hands-on skills in GIS, remote sensing, climate data analysis, vulnerability assessment, fieldwork, and community-based research. The program equips students with context-specific problem-solving abilities relevant to Pakistan’s as well as global climate risks, including floods, water scarcity, agricultural vulnerability, and urban resilience. Graduates will be prepared for employment as Climate Data Analysts, Sustainability Coordinators, Junior Climate Change Officers, Community Resilience Officers, Climate Project Assistants, Green Supply Chain Associates, Research Assistants, Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Officers, and Development Sector Officers in government departments, NGOs, development organizations, research institutions, consultancies, and the private sector, while also providing a strong foundation for higher studies and contributing to national climate resilience, sustainable development, and the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
