Our mission is to inspire and educate a new generation of ceramic designers, fostering creativity, innovation, and technical excellence. The BS Ceramic program offered by the Faculty of Design at Aror University of Art, Architecture, and Design & Heritage Sindh Sukkur is a four-year undergraduate program that prepares students for a career in the ceramics industry. The program aims to provide students with a comprehensive education in both traditional ceramics techniques and modern technology to create innovative designs.The program covers a wide range of topics, including ceramics history, materials and processes, design principles, surface decoration techniques, and firing and glazing. The curriculum also focuses on the latest ceramic technology, including computer-aided design (CAD) software, 3D printing, and laser cutting. This combination of traditional and modern techniques and technologies provides students with a well-rounded education and prepares them for a career in a constantly evolving industry.
During the program, students have access to modern technology and equipment to create functional and decorative pieces that blend traditional and modern design elements. They also learn how to use software programs to create and modify digital designs, which can be printed using 3D printers or other digital fabrication tools. This hands-on approach allows students to develop practical skills and gain experience using the latest technology.
Along with creating their own work, students also learn about the business side of ceramics design, including marketing, pricing, and selling their work. This aspect of the program prepares graduates for a range of careers, including studio artists, ceramic designers, educators, or related fields that incorporate the latest technology in ceramics design.
