The 5th meeting of the Senate of Aror University, Sukkur held today. The meeting was chaired by Honorable Minister Universities and Boards/ Pro-Chancellor Mr. Muhammad Ismail Rahoo. The Senate approved actual expenditure for FY-2025-2026 and Budget estimates for FY-2026-2027. The august house showed satisfaction over endowment fund and development projects progress. The house appreciated implementation of Strategic Plan 2023-2030. The annual report for 2025-2026 was also approved by the august house.
The honorable Minister congratulated Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Zahid Hussain Khand and his team for making Aror University an emerging model University of Pakistan within a short span of three and half years. He said regular conduct of statutory bodies meeting is a sign of shared wisdom and learned members input strengthens Vice Chancellor in making right decisions. He was impressed by the huge increase in studentsโenrollment at Aror University, Sukkur. He said it shows the trust of parents, students and the community at large. Further he added that he is confident that Aror University is under the dedicated leadership of Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Zahid Hussain Khand, his entire team and with continued support of Sindh government will make a positive difference in the society.
Mr. Muhammad Abbas Baloch, Secretary U&B also highly appreciated Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Zahid Hussain Khand visionary leadership. He said that Aror is a custodian of Indus Civilization and historical site. Therefore, he suggested that Aror University, Sukkur should initiate mega projects for preservation of historical site to protect the rich heritage of Sindh, which is diminishing due to climate change. The Vice Chancellor briefed on ongoing and future projects related to preservation of historical sites.
