Aror University Sukkur hosted a distinguished delegation from the Benazir Income Support Program (BISP) Sukkur, led by Abdul Latif Junejo (Deputy Director-Admin) Zuhaib Nawaz (Deputy Director – Ops) and Syed Raza Shah Rizvi (Assistant Director), on the directives of the Director General Sindh, BISP Pakistan.
The guests were warmly welcomed by Dr. Zamir Abro, Dean FoD, Syed Hussain Muqadas Rizvi, Deputy Provost, and Najamuddin Mangi, AD SFAO. The meeting was a fruitful exchange of ideas and collaboration, focusing on:
01. Establishment of Handicraft Incubation Centres
02. Developing a comprehensive curriculum for Handicrafts
03. Internship opportunities in the handicraft sector
04. Creating a databank of handicraft artisans
05. Training initiatives to enhance the skills of beneficiaries in Bhart, Ajrak, Sindhi Topi, and other traditional crafts
06. Addressing the necessities for cultural upliftment
07. Exploring the possibility of virtual classes for wider outreach
Dr. Zamir Abro also briefed the delegation on the university’s upcoming initiatives, including the launch of the ADH Aror Design House, aimed at empowering women and promoting handicrafts, art, and design work.
