Sukkur, March 06, 2025 โ€“ Aror University of Art, Architecture, Design & Heritage hosted a significant event titled Community Dialogue on Incorporating Peace Education into Curricula to Nurture Values of Tolerance and Harmony Among Youth at the university’s auditorium. The event attracted over 500 participants, including male & female students, principals, and professors, and aimed to foster dialogue on peace-building education and its role in empowering youth for a peaceful society.

The dialogue was moderated by Dr. Pir Suhail Ahmed Sarhandi, Registrar, Aror University. The esteemed panel of speakers included:

The event concluded with remarks from Ms. Fatima Raza, Programme Officer-Crime Prevention at UNODC.

The speakers discussed the critical need to empower youth through peace-building education in curricula, highlighting its role in combating extremism and misinformation. They called for curriculum revisions that foster tolerance and harmony among students from diverse backgrounds, emphasizing the transformative power of education in shaping a peaceful future.

This dialogue was proudly funded by the European Union, in partnership with NACTA (National Counter Terrorism Authority) and UNODC (United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime). The event exemplified a shared commitment to promoting peace, countering violence, and engaging youth in peace-building efforts at the grassroots level.
