3rd & 4th Semester Students of BS Textile and Fashion Design recently had the opportunity to experience an exciting and enriching study tour in Karachi. This trip was not just a break from routine, but a perfect combination of creativity and professional growth.

The adventure began with a visit to Zaman Textile Mill and Studio, where students explored the intricate process of textile production, Then they headed to Popular Textile Mill where they learned the dynamics of large-scale textile operations and industry practices.

On the next day, they visited Orient Textile Mill and Studio, where innovative designs and modern techniques offered new perspectives on textile craftsmanship. Before returning to Sukkur, they stopped in Hala to witness the traditional Sindhi Ajrak block printing process, a truly inspiring experience that highlighted the rich culture of Sindh.

At the end, industrial focal persons there agreed to collaborate in different platforms like internships to our students, delivering lectures and organizing workshops at Aror University. This will strengthen the university academia and industrial linkages.

The tour was a unique blend of education and inspiration, expanding our students’ perspectives on both the traditional and modern aspects of the textile industry.
