Ar. Birrah Agha is an architect, educator, and researcher with B.Arch and M.Arch qualifications and a keen interest in advancing contemporary architectural education. Her teaching practice integrates studio-based learning with sensory design, climate-responsive concepts, cultural context, and hands-on exploration of form, space, and materiality. Her Research interests centre on studio pedagogy, experiential learning, model-making as a pedagogical strategy. Her certifications and training through various faculty development workshops have strengthened her ability to employ experiential learning and effective, student-centred teaching methodologies, with a particular emphasis on developing students’ higher-order thinking, critical inquiry, and problem-solving abilities. She actively contributes to curriculum development and academic governance, bringing an innovative and reflective approach to architectural education. Her teaching philosophy is grounded in creativity, critical thinking, interdisciplinary learning, and the cultivation of reflective and practice-oriented designers.
