Biography
Dr. Farman Ali Pirzado is currently serving as an Assistant Professor (BPS-19) in the Faculty of Emerging Science and Technology at Aror University of Art, Architecture, Design and Heritage, Sukkur. He has been engaged in academia since 2014, with teaching and academic experience at the University of Sindh, IBA Community Colleges affiliated with Sukkur IBA University, and Muhammad Ali Jinnah University (MAJU), Karachi.
He completed his Ph.D. in Computer Science from Tecnologico de Monterrey, Mexico, in July 2026, specializing in Generative Artificial Intelligence in Education. His doctoral research focused on integrating Large Language Models (LLMs) and AI-based coding assistants into educational contexts, with an emphasis on their role in computing and programming education. During his doctoral studies, he also completed a research exchange at the University of Houston in the USA, which strengthened his international research experience and academic collaborations.
His research interests include Generative AI, AI in Computing Education, Programming Education, Computational Thinking, Human–AI Collaboration, and AI-based Coding Assistants. His work focuses on understanding how emerging AI technologies can enhance teaching and learning, support students and educators, and contribute to the future of computing education.
Dr. Pirzado is passionate about teaching, research, and student mentoring, and is committed to creating engaging learning experiences while contributing to meaningful research at the intersection of emerging technologies and education.
