Dr. Junaid Ali Jalbani

Dr. Junaid Ali Jalbani is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pakistan Studies at Aror University Sukkur. He holds a PhD in Pakistan Studies and has a strong academic and research background in political studies, electoral politics, voting behaviour, and the socio-political dynamics of rural Sindh. His research focuses particularly on electoral politics and voting behaviour, democracy and political participation, political sociology, governance, and the historical and contemporary development of Pakistan. His doctoral research examined electoral politics and voting behaviour in rural Sindh, with particular emphasis on the role of landed elites, biradari, caste, political affiliations, and local socio-economic structures in shaping electoral choices. Before joining Aror University, Dr. Jalbani served as a Lecturer at Shaheed Benazir Bhutto University, Shaheed Benazirabad, where he also contributed to academic administration, student affairs, hostel management, and co-curricular activities. He has been actively involved in teaching, research, academic events, and institutional responsibilities. Dr. Jalbani is committed to quality teaching, impactful research, and the promotion of critical thinking among students. His academic interests include Pakistan Studies, political history, electoral politics, voting behaviour, democracy, governance, political participation, and the socio-political development of Sindh and Pakistan.
