Dr. Muneer Ahmed

Biography

Dr. Muneer Ahmed is an assistant professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at The Aror University of Art, Architecture, Design, and Heritage. With a strong background in structural engineering and infrastructure monitoring, Dr. Ahmed is committed to developing innovative solutions for the sustainable management of civil infrastructure, using data-driven approaches to improve the efficiency and safety of infrastructure systems.

Dr. Ahmed did his BE in Civil Engineering from Quest, Nawabshah, MS in Structural Engineering from Tianjin University, China, and PhD in Structural Engineering from Roma Tre University, Italy, under the prestigious Marie Skłodowska-Curie Fellowship. His PhD research addressed the use of digital technologies for real-time monitoring of infrastructure. In his MS work, he explored the behavior of composite concrete structures under various loads. After that, he worked as a research assistant at Zhejiang University, China, and worked on different innovative projects.

Dr. Ahmed is actively engaged in collaborative research projects and has published in several prominent journals on topics related to structural health monitoring, smart infrastructure, and the sustainable design of engineering systems.

His research interests are visual health monitoring of structures by using advanced SHM methods, sustainable construction materials, and sustainable construction.
