Dr. Muneer Ahmed

Dr. Muneer Ahmed is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at Aror University of Art, Architecture, Design and Heritage, Sukkur. His expertise lies in structural engineering, structural health monitoring, and sustainable infrastructure. His work focuses on developing innovative, data-driven solutions to enhance the safety, efficiency, resilience, and sustainable management of civil infrastructure systems.   Dr. Ahmed earned his Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering from Quaid-e-Awam University of Engineering, Science and Technology (QUEST), Nawabshah, followed by a Master’s degree in Structural Engineering from Tianjin University, China. He subsequently completed his PhD in structural engineering at Roma Tre University, Italy, under the prestigious Marie Skłodowska-Curie Fellowship.   His doctoral research focused on integrating advanced digital and vision-based technologies for the real-time monitoring and condition assessment of civil infrastructure. During his master’s studies, he investigated the structural behavior of composite concrete systems under different loading conditions. He later served as a Research Assistant at Zhejiang University, China, where he contributed to several innovative research projects. His academic journey has also enabled him to collaborate with researchers from institutions across Europe and Asia.   Dr. Ahmed is actively involved in collaborative and multidisciplinary research and has published his work in reputable international journals. His research contributions span structural health monitoring, smart and resilient infrastructure, composite structures, and sustainable engineering systems.   His current research interests include vision-based structural health monitoring, advanced sensing and damage-detection techniques, sustainable construction materials, smart infrastructure, and environmentally responsible construction practices.
