Biography

Dr. Rashid Hussain Chandio holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering from Sukkur IBA University, Pakistan. His research focuses on control and protection of Modular Multilevel Converter (MMC)-based HVDC systems. His expertise includes HVDC systems, power converter design, and modern power system protection. He is also interested in applying Artificial Intelligence techniques to enhance control strategies, system stability, and smart grid integration. Dr. Chandio has a strong publication record in SCI-indexed journals, with work covering HVDC systems, AI-based optimization, and advanced converter topologies. He is proficient in engineering tools such as MATLAB, NI MULTISIM, PSCAD/EMTDC, LabVIEW,  and Hardware-in-the-Loop setup.
