Biography
Engr. Kashif Khan is an Environmental Engineer and academician with a strong commitment to sustainable industrial practices and environmental stewardship. He currently serves as a Lecturer - Environmental Sciences at Aror University of Art, Architecture, Design & Heritage Sukkur. His research and teaching are driven by a passion for bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical, industry-relevant solutions to pressing environmental challenges.
Engr. Kashif Khan holds a Master of Engineering (M.E.) in Energy and Environmental Engineering from the prestigious Mehran University of Engineering and Technology, Jamshoro. His academic background is complemented by over three years of hands-on industrial experience, where he managed a 3000 m³/day textile wastewater treatment and recycling plant at Soorty Enterprises Pvt. Ltd in Karachi. In this role, he was responsible for optimizing advanced treatment technologies—including Activated Sludge Process, Microfiltration, Ultrafiltration, and Reverse Osmosis—to ensure regulatory compliance and promote water reuse, demonstrating his expertise in pollution control and circular economy principles.
As a published researcher, his work has appeared in a Scopus-indexed journal and a conference paper on nanotechnology, focusing on the development of environmentally sustainable dyebath formulations to reduce pollutant loads in the textile industry. His research interests are centered on advanced wastewater treatment, sustainable industrial processes, and the application of nanotechnology for environmental remediation.
An educator at heart, he brings his extensive industrial and research experience to the classroom. He is dedicated to mentoring the next generation of environmental scientists and engineers, fostering a dynamic learning environment where students are encouraged to think critically and innovatively about environmental sustainability.
