Gul Hassan Lakho

Gul Hassan Lakho is a professional librarian with extensive expertise in library automation, the Koha Integrated Library System (ILS), RFID-based library systems, digital repositories, and research support services. He currently serves as Librarian at Aror University of Art, Architecture, Design and Heritage, Sukkur, where he manages overall library operations, oversees access to the HEC Digital Library, coordinates research support services, and handles a range of managerial responsibilities related to the university library. Prior to this role, he served more than 10 years at Mehran University of Engineering and Technology (MUET), Jamshoro, contributing to the development and management of its library services.

He holds a Master's degree in Library and Information Science (MLIS) from the University of Sindh, Jamshoro. Throughout his career, he has participated in numerous national and international professional training programs and has personally conducted several capacity-building workshops and training sessions for library and information professionals across the region.

His professional interests span digital librarianship, open-source library technologies, information literacy, and the application of Artificial Intelligence in library services. He remains committed to advancing academic libraries through innovation, research, and continuous professional development, positioning libraries as dynamic hubs for learning, discovery, and knowledge dissemination.
