Habib Rahman

Habib Rahman Assistant Professor Faculty of Fine Art Habib Rahman is a visual artist and dedicated art educator residing in Sukkur. Born on November 7, 1988, in Nasirabad, Sindh, he boasts over fifteen years of professional experience that bridges both educational development and studio practice. His primary focus lies in fostering creativity and critical thinking among students. Currently, Habib serves as an Assistant Professor and Chairman Incharge of the Visual Arts Department at Aror University of Art, Architecture, Design, and Heritage, Sukkur. His career also includes significant roles as an Assistant Professor and Senior Lecturer at the Karachi School of Art, as well as teaching positions as lecturer at Indus University and Indus Valley School of Art & Architecture, Karachi. His journey as an educator began as Facilitator/Teaching Assistant in the Continuing Education Programme at Indus Valley School of Art & Architecture, Karachi in 2011. Habib has showcased his work in numerous prestigious exhibitions across the country, such as “Art for Humanity” at O Art Space, Lahore, “Seen/Unseen” at Full Circle Art Gallery, Karachi and “Sindh, The Reverberating Sound” at Koel Art Gallery Karachi. His curatorial expertise is highlighted by exhibitions like “1st Dot” at IVS Art Gallery and “The Highway” at VM Art Gallery Karachi. Habib holds a Master’s degree in Art Education from Beaconhouse National University and a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Art from the Centre of Excellence in Art and Design, Jamshoro. His participation in the Taza Tareen Art Residency at Vasl Artist’s Collective, Lahore, has been a significant influence on his artistic journey. In 2025 he was invited by Culture Department Govt of Sindh for an artist talk at Sambara Art Gallery Karachi, and recently in 2026 he brought an Art Exhibition in Sukkur with the support of Culture Department Sindh and in collaboration with Aror University of Art, Architecture, Design and Heritage, happened at Mussarat Mirza Art Gallery Sukkur Arts Council. Throughout his career, Habib has been a guest speaker, curator and jury member at various art institutions/galleries, earning awards and appreciation for his contributions to the field. With strong organizational skills, a commitment to excellence, and an adaptable teaching approach, Habib continues to inspire and mentor the next generation of artists while actively contributing to the art community through his professional and academic efforts.
