Assistant Professor | Chairman In-Charge | Textile Designer | Researcher | Creative Educator
I am an academic, textile designer, researcher, and creative educator dedicated to advancing design education through innovation, sustainability, and cultural heritage. Currently serving as Assistant Professor and Chairman In-Charge of the Textile Design Department at Aror University of Art, Architecture, Design and Heritage, Sukkur, I combine industry practice with academic research to create meaningful learning experiences for future designers.
With over Ten years of university teaching experience and professional engagement in textile design, fashion, surface design, visual communication, and curriculum development, my work focuses on integrating traditional craftsmanship with contemporary design methodologies. I believe that design education should preserve cultural identity while embracing emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, Digital Fabrication, and Extended Reality.
My research explores the relationship between indigenous knowledge, sustainable textile practices, and modern education. My master's research investigated how Sindhi craftsmanship and cultural heritage can be incorporated into primary art education, promoting locally relevant and sustainable learning models.
Throughout my career, I have collaborated with universities, industries, NGOs, international designers, and cultural organizations, contributing to curriculum development, academic leadership, student mentoring, exhibitions, research initiatives, and interdisciplinary creative projects.
Today, my interests extend beyond conventional textile education toward AI-assisted design systems, digital pattern making, wearable technologies, sustainable innovation, and the future of design education.
