Shafique Ahmed Khan (on Study Leave)

Biography

Shafique Ahmed Khan is currently serving as a faculty member at the Faculty of Heritage, Aror University of Art, Architecture, Design and Heritage, Sukkur, where he teaches History and Pakistan Studies courses. He is also involved in academic and administrative responsibilities. Since 2023, he has served as the Program In-Charge of the Department of History and Archaeology. He has also worked as Manager Commercialization at the Office of Research, Innovation and Commercialization (ORIC) from 2023-2025, where his responsibilities include developing academic-industry linkages, organizing awareness sessions, and facilitating academic activities. Mr. Khan has a strong academic background in History. He completed his MPhil in History from Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad, in 2016. His MPhil research focused on the Political Thought of Nizam-ul-Mulk Tusi: An Assessment. He previously completed his MSc in History from the same university and his BA from the University of Sindh, Jamshoro. His teaching career spans more than a decade and includes experience at the University of Sindh, Allama Iqbal Open University, SZABIST Hyderabad, and other educational institutions. His research interests cover political history of Pakistan, South Asian history, Islamic political thought, Sufism, and cultural heritage. He has published research articles in journals including the Pakistan Journal of History and Culture, Journal of the Punjab University Historical Society, and Pakistan Historical Society. He has also presented research his research at national and international conferences on cultural heritage, Islamic governance, diplomacy, and history. Alongside teaching and research, Mr. Khan has actively participated in faculty development, outcome-based education, assessment, and student engagement programs. He served as Student Mentor for Debate and Literary Club, Aror University from 2024-2025. His academic journey reflects a continuing interest in history, education, research, and the preservation of cultural heritage.
