Biography
A fashion design academic, administrator and practitioner with 5+ years of university teaching, 7+ years of fashion industry and qualityassurance experience, and one year of departmental leadership as Chairperson (In-charge) and Assistant Professor (BPS-19) of Fashion Design at Aror University, Sukkur — appointed through the University's 7th Selection Board (2025). As Chairperson, I have led curriculum modernization (PLO mapping; new modules in sustainable pattern-making, digital 3D rendering and Sindh craft research), built the department's studio infrastructure from the ground up, processed BOS/BOF and Senate-level governance work, authored the Tactical Plan 2025–26 and Annual Report to the Vice Chancellor & Syndicate, launched community skills training as a NAVTTC course instructor, secured conference platforms for departmental research, and initiated industry, national and international partnerships — work formally acknowledged by the Chairman of the HEC during his visit to the University. My industry background spans creative direction, textile design, branding systems, fashion forecasting and third-party quality audit for leading Pakistani apparel exporters. My scholarly profile includes four peer-reviewed publications, an Impact-Factor journal manuscript under review, three conference presentations, a conference reviewer/session-chair role, a Rs. 5.0 million Sindh HEC laboratory grant application, and selection to the UPG Sustainability Leadership Class of 2026. I am confident in my ability to deliver excellent results in fashion education, research, and academic leadership, with full motivation and perseverance.
