Vice Chancellor, Prof. Engr. Zahid Hussain Khand said that 5th August is one of the most tragic, painful and darkest days of modern Kashmir history. He said that whole nation will give a message to their Kashmiri brethren that the people of Pakistan will always stand with them in their just struggle for right to independence and against the atrocities committed by the Indian forces.

Pakistan observes “Youm-e-Istehsal,” a day of remembrance and solidarity with the people of Kashmir. This day marks the anniversary of a pivotal event that altered the course of history for the region: the revocation of Jammu and Kashmir’s special autonomous status by the Indian government in 2019. The observance of Youm-e-Istehsal is not only a reaffirmation of Pakistan’s unwavering support for the Kashmiri people but also a solemn reminder of the ongoing struggle for self-determination and human rights.
