Aror University, Sukkur proudly hosted a remarkable visit from the esteemed artist, fashion designer, and actor Yousuf Bashir Qureshi (YBQ), accompanied by his business partner, Ms. Zabad Anwar. The highlight of the event, titled “An Evening and Interactive Session with YBQ,” was expertly facilitated by Ms. Anwar. Students from the Faculty of Fashion Design showcased their creativity through a vibrant cultural walk, setting the stage for an inspiring evening.
This enchanting event also featured a Mushaira, where celebrated regional poets recited their poetry, followed by an electrifying musical performance by the renowned singer Salamat Sohrab Faqeer. The presence of Syed Khurshid Ahmed Shah, MNA and veteran politician, further elevated the atmosphere of the evening. In a heartfelt tribute, Prof. Dr. Zahid Hussain Khand, Vice-Chancellor of Aror University, commended YBQ for his invaluable contributions and expressed gratitude for his presence at the university.
Beyond the festivities, YBQ explored the rich historical tapestry of the Sukkur region, visiting iconic sites such as Faiz Mahal, Lansdowne Bridge, Sadh Belo, Satyun Jo Aastano, Pakistan Sweet Home, the Shrine of Sachal Sarmast, Muhammad Bin Qasim Mosque, and Kalka Devi Temple, accompanied by Prof. Dr. Zamir Ahmed Abro, Dean Faculty of Design.
During his engaging interactions with students and faculty, Mr. YBQ expressed genuine joy at witnessing the unwavering dedication and enthusiasm of the university community. He vowed to foster collaboration in the realms of fashion, textile design, and visual arts, promising to support the university in its creative endeavors.
